Do you come to our villa for a private wine tasting?
Yes. I come to your villa in Tuscany with the wines, glasses and tasting materials, so you can enjoy the tasting at your own table without driving anywhere.
How long does a private wine tasting last?
About 90 minutes. We taste four or five wines at a relaxed pace, with time for stories, questions and conversation.
Can guests who do not drink wine join the tasting?
Yes. They can enjoy the stories and learn about our wine culture without drinking. It is a shared experience for the whole group.
What areas do you cover?
I offer private villa wine tastings throughout Tuscany. Send me your villa location, dates and group size so we can plan the details together.
Is food included in the tasting?
I bring taralli, the small Italian savoury snacks, to enjoy alongside the wines. If you have something different in mind, we can discuss it before your tasting.
What happens if it rains?
We can move the tasting indoors, around a table in your villa, and enjoy the wines and conversation there.
2. Private winery tours
Which wine regions can we explore with you?
I organise private winery tours in Tuscany, with a focus on Montalcino and Bolgheri. Tell me which wines interest you and where you are staying, and we can discuss the right route for your group.
What happens during a winery tour?
We explore the vineyards and cellar, taste the wines and discover the stories behind them. I introduce you to the small, family-run producers I work with, so you can learn about their wines from the people who make them.
Will you accompany us during the visits?
Yes. I stay with you from start to finish, introduce you to the producers and explain what is in your glass. There is time to ask questions, taste at your own pace and enjoy the visit.
Can the tour be tailored to our group?
Yes. Each visit is shaped around your group and its pace, rather than following a standard programme. We discuss your interests beforehand so the day reflects what you would like to discover.
How do we arrange a private winery tour?
Send me your dates, where you are staying, your group size and the wines or regions you would like to explore. We can then discuss the visits and agree on the details of your day.
3. Private events & groups
What kinds of groups can you host a wine tasting for?
I host wine tastings for private groups, clubs, associations and charities. Each event is planned around the people attending, with wines, stories and conversation to suit the occasion.
Can you bring a Tuscan wine tasting to our group outside Italy?
Yes. I also organise wine tasting events abroad. We discuss your location, dates and group, then plan the wines and logistics together. The wines are shipped ahead of the event, and I travel to host the tasting.
How are the wines chosen for a private event?
We discuss your group's interests and what you would like to explore. I then select the Tuscan wines and plan the tasting around them, so the evening has a clear theme and reflects your guests' curiosity.
What will our guests learn during the tasting?
I share vineyard stories and explain the region, how the wines are made and how to taste them. The evening is interactive, with questions and conversation between the glasses, rather than a formal lecture.
Do you work with agencies and provide sommelier service at group dinners?
Yes. I work with agencies on group wine experiences, including accompanying guests to winery tastings and providing sommelier service at dinner. We discuss the programme and agree on my role beforehand.
