JCAB is the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Silvia Badii at Il Colle, born from her young vineyard in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the heart of Chianti Classico, and from its very first harvest in 2023. After almost three years in 225 liter French barriques, just 880 bottles were made. Blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry meet cedar, tobacco, spice and dark chocolate, with dense yet refined tannins and a long, harmonious finish. Named after Jacob, Silvia’s faithful Jack Russell, it is made for Florentine steak, grilled red meats, braises and aged cheeses.
