Tuscany tastes better when someone tells you the story behind the glass. I am Claudia, a DipWSET sommelier based in Piombino, and these are the ways I can share the wines I love with you, your friends, your guests or your members.
I have worked in wine communication and marketing for over 18 years. Today I select, share and sell wines for private clients who love discovering new labels among the many appellations Italy has to offer. Wherever we meet, in a villa, a resort or a hotel, I bring everything needed for a professional tasting: glasses, tasting placemats, buckets and information material.
Private wine tastings at your villa
Staying in a villa in Tuscany? I come to you. For about 90 minutes I pour four or five wines at your own table and tell you the story behind each one, so nobody has to drive anywhere.
It is the easy way to taste Tuscany. It is too hot to walk a vineyard at midday? We stay in the shade. Some of your guests do not drink? They still learn and enjoy the evening with us. The kids want to keep playing in the pool? They can, while you taste. Nobody has to drive home, and if it rains, we simply move indoors.
Winery tours
Some of the best moments in Tuscany happen behind the doors of a winery. I take you from the vineyard to the cellar, where you discover all the secrets of the wine in the real voice of the small, family-run producers I work with. The welcome is authentic because I am an insider, not a guide, and nothing is standardised.
I come with you from start to finish, introduce you to the people behind each wine and explain what is in your glass. Each visit is shaped around your group and its pace, so you can ask anything, taste in peace and enjoy the day as my guest.
Wine tasting events
Do you belong to a club, an association or a charity? I bring a Tuscan wine tasting to your group, wherever you are. The wines are shipped to you beforehand, and on the day I host the evening: educational, interactive and fun.
I plan each event around your group, from choosing the Tuscan wines to the logistics, so you can enjoy the evening too. Between the glasses I weave in vineyard stories, tasting notes and a few tips on the region, wine production and tasting technique. It is also a proven way to raise funds for clubs, charities and organisations.
